Reserve my place

Questions

Questions people actually ask.

The ten under the reservation form, plus the ones that arrive by email. Where the answer is "we don't know yet", it says that rather than something more comfortable.

The Founding offer

What's a session?

One off-peak court booking of 60 minutes, included in your monthly fee. Off-peak means weekdays before 5pm. You can book as much as you like beyond your included sessions — those are charged at the standard rate, less your tier's discount on your own share of the court.

Do I pay anything now, or ever, just to hold my place?

No. Reserving is free, and nothing's charged later just to keep your place either.

Is there a joining fee?

Not for Founding members. No joining fee, no deposit and no signing-on cost — the monthly price is the whole price. Whether standard memberships carry one later is not decided.

Can I change my tier before opening?

Yes. You choose which one you're on when we open, not now.

If my membership lapses, what happens to my Founding rate?

It ends. It only holds for as long as your membership runs without a break.

Can someone else take my Founding place?

Once, to one named person, and only before we open.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Any time, by replying to any email that reaches you.

How does the referral offer work?

When you reserve, you're given your own link. If a friend reserves on it, the first session is on us for both of you. The link carries a six-character code generated at random and from nothing about you, so forwarding it into a group chat doesn't send your name or email anywhere with it.

The club

Where will the club be?

We don't know yet, and that is the honest answer rather than a coy one. No lease is signed. The postcodes people give when they reserve are a real input into the decision — a cluster of Founding members in one part of London is the strongest argument there is for putting the building there.

What if the club doesn't end up near me?

We don't have a building yet — that's exactly what the postcodes people give us help decide. Reserving fixes a rate, not a location. If it turns out too far once there's an address, you're free to walk away with a reply to any email. Nothing's owed either way.

When will it open?

No date yet — that depends on a site we haven't secured. We'll tell you first, not last.

How many courts will there be?

Five, indoors. That number is what the club is being designed around — enough to run a league night without closing the place to everyone else, and few enough to stay a club rather than a leisure centre.

Will there be a bar and food?

Yes, and it is half the point rather than an amenity. A long bar with the courts visible through glass, and food worth staying for. Most padel in Britain is a court and a car park; the room you sit in afterwards is the thing we are actually trying to get right.

Will there be coaching?

Yes — beginner sessions and individual coaching are both planned. Padel is unusually easy to start, so the first session is less about technique than about where to stand, and that is exactly what a good coach fixes in an hour.

Playing

Can I play if I've never played before?

Yes, and more easily than any other racket sport. The serve is underarm by rule, so nobody can serve past you, and the walls keep the ball alive long after it would have been dead. Most people have real rallies inside their first hour.

Do I need my own racket?

No. Rackets will be available to borrow, and there is no reason to buy one until you know you're staying. Bring trainers; that's it.

Can I bring someone to play who isn't a member?

Their first visit's on the house. After that, a flat fee per visit, up to twice a month.

Your details

What happens to the details I give you?

What's needed to hold your place and reach you about it: your name, email, postcode, and phone if you leave one. With it we keep the tier you picked, the moment you signed and the wording you agreed to, your own referral link, and — if a friend's link brought you here — theirs. We also record how you reached the site: the page you came from, any campaign tag on the link, and when you arrived.

It runs the Founding reservation, honours the referral offer, and tells us where a club would actually serve people best. Nothing is sold on or shared for advertising, and you can ask us to delete all of it at any time by replying to any email.

Does this site use cookies?

No. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, which is why you have not been shown a consent banner. Nothing your browser fetches while reading the page goes anywhere except to us and our host — the typefaces are served from this domain rather than from Google, so no third party sees your visit at all.
